The Common and Drake beef may not have achieved the level of previous hip hop battles such as LL Cool J vs. Kool Moe D, or KRS-One vs. Juice Crew, but it has people talking these days. French Montana commented on it, as well as hip hop heavies Scarface and Birdman. An underrated star in hip hop is rapper Papoose, real name Shamele Mackie, who recently talked to Hot 93.7's Kevin W. Reese. Papoose said when asked about the beef:

"Interesting, man. Because Common is a master lyricist. And I think Drake is nice, too. It'd be interesting to see the outcome. I'm like everyone else. I'm just waiting to see what happens. To me, it's interesting...It ain't gonna be a walk in the park."

Contrary to rumors on the Internet, the battle is not over Com’s ex-girlfriend Serena Williams. Though Drake was spotted with her following their breakup, Common maintains that it’s all because the Young Money rapper fired back.

Also Ludacris ALSO HAD A COUPLE WORD'S FOR DRAKE "SUPPOSEDLY" jacking his style too? Man listen...I'm not a rapper or in the industry but it look's like "The Old" are trying to get at "The New". Drake by far is killing the game right now, getting money w/o any help but from YMCMB, No high profile album cameo's or Celeb backing. Homie just doing him and trying to get the world to listen TO THE NEW AGE, (Kendrick Lamar, The Weeknd,) Thats all thats it! Don't hate the brotha because you can listen to "Take Care" with your brodies or a CHICK! Why hate because he is part of THE ELITE CAMP KNOWN AS "Young Money" thats only getting stronger, or because he's LIGHT-SKINNED (lmao #insider) But real talk, I would hate for others to get involved in this because most of his crew are  BATTLE RAPPER'S and with addition of Tech Nine, Bow Wow and BUSTA RHYMES! G.O.O.D Music will definitely have a GOOD NIGHT if it comes to that. And to top it off!! Why would you put your rhymes on a song already out here dissing the guy before you?? "Thanks to her feature on daddy Jay-Z's "Glory" at less than a week old, Blue Ivy Carter is already making chart history.


Billboard reports that B.I.C., as Beyoncé and Jay-Z's daughter is credited on the track, is the youngest person to land on the albums chart in Billboard history. The song is currently #74 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart. Blue Ivy was born in the late hours of Saturday, meaning she was likely only hours old when her voice was recorded for the track.


JayZ and Blue beat out Stevie Wonder and Aisha on his iconic "Isn't She Lovely?" back in the '70s. However, unlike B.I.C., Aisha was never credited on her dad's track.
