Ronald Poppo Identified As Victim Of Rudy Eugene's Naked Zombie Attack

Police sources have identified the homeless victim in a horrific, bloody assault in which a naked North Miami Beach man chewed off a large portion of another's man's face, as first reported by the Miami Herald and CBS Miami.

Ronald Poppo, 65, is in critical condition at Jackson Memorial Hospital's Ryder Trauma Center, just blocks from where he was attacked by 31-year-old Rudy Eugene in broad daylight Saturday on the Downtown off-ramp of Miami's busy MacArthur Causeway.

According to CBS, Poppo's arrest records -- mostly for the sort of petty crime common among the homeless -- show he has lived in New York City and New Orleans but suggest he has spent at least a good deal of his time in Miami since 1978. He is not found in Miami-Dade court records after a 2006 trespassing charge.

The Love Below: "What Every Man Wants" THIS IS DEFINITELY A MUST READ!!!

I love love. Im surrounded by love. My family and God show me unconditional love on an every day basis. I love my friends and they love me, but nothing compares to the love of that one other person. And it’s something everyone wants and needs. Shiet, thugs need love too!
I don’t know if you’ve ever been in love before, but I have. It was that true in love-love…. not that dysfunctional shit you hear about now a days. Kinda funny I’m talkin like it was back in the good’ol days or something, but I swear thats what I feel has happened. Maybe it’s because my love was at a pure age before it was tainted with other temptations. We never cheated on each other, we respected each other and we truly cared for one another. I feel as though these things juss don’t exist any more in most relationships and if they do, it’s very rare that you hear about it. Of course even all good things must come to an end, and for different reasons we couldn’t savor a friendship, but I never regret having had that first love.
I’ve had some messed up situations when it comes to dating, but I can’t say I’ve lost complete hope that I’ll find someone worth it, or rather we’ll find each other, that juss gives me that feeling. You know that feeling I’ve mentioned before, thats ALMOST inexplicable. It gives you that tingling sensation that goes through your limbs… them butterflies in your stomach… and your chest and cheeks feel instantly warm. You have an uncontrollable smile and I swear there’s stars in your eyes. The feeling that’s juss there as soon you look at them and they look at you… kinda somethin like this:

Shots Fired:The Lil Wayne And Pusha T Soap Opera

For all that don't know, in the wide world of hip hop comes another BLACKA! gunshot. This time from this little quiet guy named Pusha T. In his newest release "Exodus" he speaks on "The Man" sigmed "To The Man" signed "To Two More Niccas" smh. Of course we can't have subliminal Push get away with talking about who the hell knows w/o Wayne crafting a 1:39 diss called "Ghoulish" where in the first millisecond you a very forward and scathing "F**K PUSHA T!! then the rant follows. Now, dont get me wrong, I see no problem with beef in the industry but in my opinion... either No Malice is about to re-emerge, sign with G.O.O.D Music on the heels of a YMCB beef, Kanye West has orchastrated this to fuel the fire btwn him and Drake supposedly jacking his style..... or Pusha T is retarded.

Wtf You Say? 5 Overused Rap Phrases

The thing about rap is…it’s trendy. Actually, it sets most of the trends that the rest of the world follows. So when something catches on in Hip-Hop, it usually gets run through the ringer by the artists and fans first – right before the media puts it on auto-repeat, and then Corporate America bastardizes it in commercials with grandmas and little suburban kids. Remember “bling?” Sigh.
Rap lyrics these days are ripe with repeat references – some of them you know, and admit it, some of them have left you scratching your head. A common thread in these popular phrases is their connection to the “baller” lifestyle. That might be the reason the rest of us little people have to live vicariously through our favorite rappers when they spit new slang or name-drop new brands.

10 Things for Black Men to Remember When Pulled Over by the Police

10 Things for Black Men to Remember When Pulled Over by the Police

Writing for NewsOne.com, Dr. Boyce Watkins gives 10 tips for black men when dealing with police encounters. Black males are far more likely to go to prison and to die in the custody of police than other citizens. All of this begins with the first stop by police, where things can sometimes get out of hand. Dr. Watkins offers these tips for those who wish to avoid these problems.

" When NWA wrote “F*ck the Police” in the late 1980s, they were heavily criticized.  But the police brutality of which they were speaking was a racial boogeyman that remained hidden due to the high cost of home video cameras.   Rodney King changed all that, and it let America know that the relationship between black men and the police usually left us at the short end of the baton.

I am not an attorney.  I am just a scholar and a black man who cares about what happens when my brothers interact with that peculiar street gang, otherwise known as the police.  Sometimes, the cops are here to protect us.  But other times, they are here to protect everyone else from us.  So, interacting with police in a way that keeps us from losing our lives is absolutely critical.

Please note that this is not a substitute for legal advice.  I recommend that you speak to an attorney to get a more complete understanding of how to handle situations like this one.  But my Facebook friends, some of whom have solid legal backgrounds, helped me to compile this list of things you should keep in mind when dealing with the police.   Think about these issues carefully, for it might save your life: READ MORE
